Triton Marine Construction Website Design & Development
Triton Marine is a progressive construction company with a reputation for managing and executing complicated niche marine and civil construction projects. Triton specializes in myriad construction disciplines but mainly focuses on federal and municipal construction projects.
Triton came to us via a referral from a previous web project. Their main objective was to modernize their overall look.
They wanted the site to not only represent the work they do but also to attract new employees. We achieved this by highlighting their projects and work types. We overhauled the user experience to create overall fluidity when browsing the site.
Design
To modernize the site, we used cards throughout and added a pop of color with the yellow orange. We chose this color to hold the users’ interest and add some contrast to the black and blue.
We reduced the number of pages by combining like information. This reduction not only simplified the site but also helped improve its SEO.
We introduced multiple ways for users to continue reading, such as adding internal links. These features also served to enhance user engagement. Additionally, we provided users with a contact form at the bottom of each page.
To address the goal of attracting new employees, we introduced Triton Marine and highlighted recent projects. Within the featured projects section, we wanted to not only allow users to see all recent projects but also allow the user to click a specific project that will auto-scroll to that section of the Projects page.
Development
In development, we brought all the design concepts above to life. The Triton Marine website was one of our first projects using the Gutenberg editor on the back end. The editor enabled us to create a clean, easy-to-manage site where the client could update content without needing extensive technical knowledge.
A key challenge was ensuring the site remained fast and responsive, which we solved by developing lightweight custom blocks. The result is a simple, user-friendly website with optimized mobile performance and flexible content management.
