A behind The Scenes of A Website Overhaul
Hello, and welcome to our newly redesigned website — and to a refreshed chapter at KELLYBRADY. As marketing experts, website design specialists, and an all‑around in‑house marketing team, we believe our own digital presence should reflect the same level of strategy, creativity, and performance we deliver to our clients.
Earlier this year, we made the decision to revisit and redesign our website. Taking a step back, we reviewed the work we produce for our clients every day and challenged ourselves to do the same for our own brand. The goal was simple: create a site that feels modern, intentional, and built to support both our audience and our future growth — while making the most of today’s technology.
The first questions we asked ourselves were familiar ones: What should this site look like? How should it feel? And most importantly, why are we making these changes? Every decision needed to serve a purpose and support our long‑term goals. We kicked off the process by collaborating with our creative team to reimagine the look and feel of KELLYBRADY.
Our graphic design team took on the challenge of evolving the site while keeping it clean, open, and easy to navigate. We leaned into modern web design trends while staying grounded in solid development standards. Angles inspired by our KB logo, bold typography, thoughtful spacing, and subtle micro‑interactions all came together to create a more dynamic experience. Through close team collaboration, we found better ways to showcase recent work and clearly communicate our processes to potential clients.
Once the design direction was set, it was time to move into development.
As with any rebuild, planning brought important questions — especially around platform choice. After evaluating our needs for flexibility, usability, scalability, and long‑term maintenance, we landed where many of our client projects do as well: WordPress. When implemented thoughtfully, WordPress provides the control, extensibility, and reliability needed to support a high‑performing marketing website.
By returning to WordPress, we were able to create a streamlined content management experience for our team while maintaining the flexibility needed to grow and evolve the site over time. The platform allows us to efficiently manage content, optimize for performance, and continuously improve the site without unnecessary complexity.
During development, our team focused heavily on performance, accessibility, and consistency across devices. Modern layout techniques, optimized assets, and clean code helped us ensure fast load times and a reliable experience across platforms.
